Shanghai East Asia Patent & Trademark Agency, formerly known as Shanghai East Asia Patent Right Firm was established in 1993. It is the first private-owned patent proxy firm in Shanghai registered with China Patent Bureau. It is also a foreign-related patent proxy firm designated by National Intellectual Property Bureau. It has 12 full-time patent agents most of which are among the first owners of patent proxy firms since the enforcement of patent right law in 1985 with extensive experience in the field of patent proxy and solid backgrounds. There are 10 senior level professionals and 2 intermediate level professionals. The business of our firm mainly covers: chemistry and chemical engineering, medicine, electronics, biology, physics, mechanics and law etc.

Business scope:

1. Proxy for overseas and domestic patent right application and trade mark registration: including the consulting, indexing before the application and the process management within the patent valid period.
2. Proxy for patent nullification announcement
   1. Submit the petition for nullification of patent right to the Patent Review Committee of National Intellectual Property Bureau on behalf of the petitioner.
   2. Defend on behalf of patent right holder in maintaining his patent right validity
   3. Proxy for trade mark disputes
   4. Represent the petitioner to apply for trade mark evaluation and re-evaluation at the Trade Mark Evaluation Committee of National Industrial and Commercial Bureau.
3. Proxy for trade mark disputes
   1. As entrusted by the patent right holder, file a lawsuit against infringements;
   2. As entrusted by the principal, defend for patent right infringements;

3. As entrusted by the principal, sign the patent implementation granting contract on its behalf.
